Frankie Manning, the legendary pioneer of Lindy Hop who continued to dance, teach and inspire dancers all over the world until the time of his death, passed away this morning at the age of 94.
Among the many accolades of his accomplished life, Frankie choreographed high-energy dance numbers for Hollywood films and did the first -- the FIRST -- "aerial" move, at the Savoy, way back in the '30s. He was amazing to watch, even decades later.
