Cure for the Modern Bland-O-Lantern

You've seen them around the neighborhood: round, smiley, friendly, pointy-nosed. The typical boring jack-o-lantern. Maybe you've even carved your share of uninspired pumpkins.

Not anymore. Not after this.

LOVE that site. I even used his recipe for pumpkin seeds.

As for our pumpkins...I asked Maggie if she wanted a spooky or friendly jack o' lantern, and she voted for "spooky AND friendly." Then she drew the face herself with two different sized eyes, a toothy mouth and pointy hair.

Creative & imaginative site. Year before last, we couldn't decide on one face for the family pumpkin so we drew 4, all the way around. It was eerie when lit, but, with all the cuts, it didn't last long.

what a great site!!

ps--i am pretty fond of the rat thanksgiving celebration myself. :) and i have to say, i am definitely getting so used to picking up dog poop that i barely notice it anymore. i think the more you love the dog, the less you notice the poop. i think that works with guys too--the more you love them the less you focus on some of their less-than-desirable ways. ;)
